Definition of progressing cavity pump
A pump that moves liquid with a turning helical shaft inside a rubber like stator, creating high compressions which push the liquid forward. PCP can pump liquid with very high viscosity. Like all positive displacement pump, they are able to maintain a constant flow even if the output pressure varies.
